A time of relaxation with the older sisters

Bécassine calls the tune with the sisters from the Mother House.

     On Easter Monday, the sisters from the Mother House, enjoyed some relaxation. Our dear Bécassine who is a hundred years old - a new postal stamp goes to prove it - introduces the programme and straight away sets the tone for the afternoon which is also an opportunity for welcoming our new Delegate. Songs, monologues, sketches prepared by the different communities follow one another. Funny or edifying, they take us from Jonas to the Prodigal Son passing through a whole range of varied and entertaining subjects.
     An interview with the Minister for Education on the reform of the bac (A levels) translated as : « la bonne ambiance communautaire » (a pleasant community atmosphere) was very successful. A concert given by the choir « Pianissimo », led by its energetic conductor, Sister Anne-Marie received much applause. This vocal ensemble is proof that even in the third age one can still sing and that singing is a strong force for joy and unity.

This time of relaxation ended with a festive tea.
