Ever since the 1st August the preparations have accelerated. The corridors in the Mother House are decorated in different colours. The big, brightly coloured boards are covered with photos, texts, symbols relating the history of the Congregation from its origins until the present day.

Ever since the 1st August the preparations have accelerated. The corridors in the Mother House are decorated in different colours. The big, brightly coloured boards are covered with photos, texts, symbols relating the history of the Congregation from its origins until the present day. The countries where are present the communities of Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Evron, and the associates, are represented. All is ready to welcome the visitors.
The associates arrive from Ivory Coast, from Canada-Alberta, from England. To give the Africans and Canadians a better opportunity of experiencing French culture they are welcomed on Tuesday evening by families from the town.
Today, Wednesday, the associates and sisters meet on the terrace for a family photograph and to begin a visit of the Abbey and Bascilica.
The evening prayer which brings together sisters and associates, the meal and an evening of entertainment are an opportunity for meeting and getting to know one another, of making friends or renewing the friendships which have already begun through an exchange of letters e-mails, telephone calls.
For the past 6 months a committee has been working to prepare this weeks festivities. A great job has been done to forsee….even the unexpected. Many thanks to these men and women, sisters and lay people who have shown and are still showing such devotion and ingenuity.
Our thanks go already to all those who have given their time and energy to ensure that these festivities give honour to Perrine Thulard a woman from Maine, a woman of faith, foundress of the Congregation of the sisters of Charity of O.L. of Evron. May her primary intuition : « what ever you do to the leqst of my brethren you do unto me » inspire many generations of religious and lay people throughout the world.
