Ever since the Sunday, 1st August, the preparations intensify. The corridors in the Mother House at Evron are decorated in different colours. The big, brightly coloured notice boards are covered with photos, texts, and symbols relating the history of the Congregation from its origins to the present day.

Ever since the Sunday, 1st August, the preparations intensify. The corridors in the Mother House at Evron are decorated in different colours. The big, brightly coloured notice boards are covered with photos, texts, and symbols relating the history of the Congregation from its origins to the present day. The countries where the sisters of Charity of O.L. of Evron and their associates are present are represented. All is ready for the feast.
On Sunday evening a group of associates arrive from Ivory Coast, followed on the Monday by a group of Canadians from Alberta. On Tuesday, the second group of Canadians arrive at the beginning of the afternoon and they are followed in the evening by a group from England. The Africans and Canadians are received in the host families to help them increase their knowledge of French culture.
On Wednesday, the people associated with the sisters of the Congregation came together on the terrace for a family photograph followed by a visit of the Basilica and Mother House. The evening prayer, the meal shared together and a festive evening were opportunities for getting to know each other better, or for renewing and strengthening the ties of friendship already begun by e-mail or telephone.

A co-ordinating team is at work for the past 18 months. It has been working hard to foresee……even the unforeseeable.
Many thanks to all these men and women, sisters and lay people, who have given and give proof of an extraordinary devotion and ingenuity. May our thanks extend to all those who have spent their time and energy in order that these celebrations give honour to Perrine Thulard, a woman from Maine and a woman of faith, foundress of the congregation of the sisters of Charity of O.L. of Evron. May her initial intuition: “whatever you did for the least of my brethren you did unto me,” inspire many more generations of religious and lay people throughout the world.
