In France, as in all of the other countries, sisters and associate members are diligently preparing for the 350th birthday celebration of Perrine Thulard

     The captivating event of this year has to do with the many preparations in view of the approaching summer festivities in honour of the 350th birthday of Perrine Thulard.
An associate from Evron, sings her muse...
               The stars sing for this third centenary
               And light up in the eyes of sisters and associates : 
               With a thousand flames and a thousand charitable projects
               All come together to celebrate this anniversary.
                    In each country, no one can remain silent
                    Their joie de vivre in a world that is welcoming
                    The orphan, the poor, celebrate the centenary;
                    All rejoice : the spirit, the soul refocuses anew...
               In this century, freely, the entire human family
               Receives from Jesus pardon, goodness,
               For Jesus wants to save all the peoples of the earth...
                     Yes, humility, simplicity, charity
                     Are modelled by our enlightened foundress :
                     Her heart at-one-ment with Mary and with the will of the Father.

« Emmaus » Group
Inspired by the example of the disciples of Emmaus, a group of associates regularly gathered to deepen their understanding and broaden their spiritual sense of "Meeting or Encounter", frequently found in the Gospel texts. During this year 2003-2004, we pondered and meditated on the scriptural sense of "Meeting or encountering" based on the following texts: Jesus and the Samaritan Woman, Jesus and Zacheus, Jesus and John the Baptist (at Jesus’ Baptism), and lastly Jesus and Pilate. On January 31st, 2004 just two days prior to "Candlemas", we met to reflect on this text from Luke 2, 22-40, focusing more particularly on Jesus Light of the Nations. At the end of our reflections together, we decided to meet with the senior sisters at the Motherhouse inviting them, in this year of Perrine, to share with us a phrase from their foundress which has been a special source of "light" for them. This sharing was both fruitful and enlightening !

	During this year - Date of publication 06-28-2010 The meeting of the Associates that took place in October was, as you can imagine, a time for sharing what happened in Evron and in Canada for the Centenary of the sisters’ arrival.
	Pilgrimages - Date of publication 03-11-2010 The Associates and some Sisters recently made some pilgrimages. One of these was to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Walsingham which is in the east of England.
	A hundred years… That can be understood in various ways - Date of publication 11-09-2009 Perrine has been present in the West of Canada for a hundred years in the person of the Sisters who took up a challenge and accomplished a great acheivement. Each one left her own corner of Mayenne to go to “the other end of the earth” as people said at the time and we can imagine the strong faith that motivated them.
	Sister Marie-Louise Recton whose memory is still alive in Alberta - Date of publication 11-09-2009 Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that a young woman, one of my relatives (Sister Marie-Louise Recton, first provincial of the sisters of Evron in Canada) would have had such a lasting effect on a community.
	The Fortsaskatchewan Associates - Date of publication 06-15-2009 The Fort Saskatchewan Associates meet on a monthly basis after the 11:00 mass, usually at Our Lady of Angels Parish church hall if the meeting rooms are not being used. This has provided us the opportunity to have Fathers Francis and John join us on several occasions.
